TNET
Missionary and Advisor in Philosophy &
Apologetics
Corey Miller holds membership in both the
Evangelical Philosophical Society and the Evangelical Theological
Society. He holds MA's in Biblical Studies and in Philosophy of
Religion and Ethics and graduated summa cum laude from both programs. In August, 2004 he began work on a
Ph.D. in philosophy atPurdue
University.
Corey has served on staff of four churches in youth & college
ministry and has taught courses in Bible, theology, philosophy,
ethics, and rhetoric at Multnomah Bible College, Purdue University, and Indiana
University,
respectively. He has
also served on associate staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and
has worked in research and writing for Josh McDowell Ministries. In
addition, he founded The Logos Center, a high school level seminary,
adjacent to a large regional high school in the Portland, Oregon
area.
Since his conversion to Christ from Mormonism
in 1988, he has had an unquenchable desire to be anchored in the
pursuit of truth and the communication of the Gospel, locally and
abroad. After completing his doctorate in philosophy, Corey hopes to
gain access into the ivory towers of the modern university to teach
philosophy and comparative religion from a Christian perspective, as
well as to serve as an apologist for the church locally and
globally.
Given his
background, training, and passion to promote and defend the
Christian faith, TNET is extremely thankful for Corey and is excited
to welcome him on board as a missionary and advisor to serve in
advancing God's Kingdom in his area of specialization: philosophy
and apologetics. Corey, with his wonderful wife Melinda, and their
beautiful children Parker and Sadie, currently reside in Lafayette, Indiana while working on his
doctorate as a TNET missionary. He can be contacted for
speaking engagements (including camps, retreats, sermons, lectures,
or seminars) at cmiller2000@juno.com. |
